The short version — plain English

You own everything you post. We never claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited license to display your content on the platform — nothing more.

The platform rules are simple: be a real person, say real things, don't harass anyone.

You can delete your account and all your content at any time.

No spam, no harassment, no impersonation, no illegal content, no bots.

We do not allow political advertising. Ever. From anyone.

By creating an account or using Chrrp, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform. These terms form a contract between you and Chrrp LLC.

Who can use Chrrp

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chrrp. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

You must be a real person. Bots, automated accounts, and bulk-registered accounts are not permitted. One account per person — operating multiple accounts to evade moderation actions is a violation of these terms.

You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you are using Chrrp on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Use a strong, unique password. Do not share your login credentials with others. Chrrp will never ask for your password.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@gochrrp.com.

Username rules. 4–20 characters. Letters, numbers, and underscores only. Must contain at least one letter. Cannot start or end with an underscore. Cannot be changed more than once every 30 days. Your old username is held for 30 days after a change before becoming available to others.

Username policy

Chrrp reserves all usernames of 1–3 characters.
Chrrp reserves brand-sensitive handles including but not limited to @chrrp, @admin, @support, @help, @safety, @official.
Registering a username with intent to sell it is prohibited.
Impersonating any person, brand, or organization is prohibited.
Username squatting (registering multiple accounts to hold usernames) is prohibited.
Chrrp reserves the right to reclaim any username for platform use at any time.
Violations result in immediate account termination.

Content rules

Chrrp is a public conversation platform. Most things are allowed. The following are not:

NeverHate speech, racism, and bigotry

Content that dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics. This includes slurs, calls for discrimination, and content that portrays groups of people as subhuman or inherently inferior. Criticism of ideas, institutions, policies, and beliefs is allowed. Attacking people for who they are is not.

NeverHarassment and targeted abuse

Content that targets a specific person with threats, sustained abuse, or coordinated harassment campaigns. Criticism, disagreement, and strong opinions are allowed. Targeting individuals to cause harm is not.

NeverSpam and coordinated inauthentic behavior

Posting the same content repeatedly, operating bot networks, coordinating multiple accounts to artificially amplify content, or any behavior designed to manipulate the platform rather than genuinely participate in it.

NeverImpersonation

Pretending to be another person, organization, or public figure in a way that deceives others. Parody accounts are permitted if clearly labeled as parody in the display name or bio.

NeverIllegal content

Content that violates applicable law — including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that facilitates violence, doxxing (publishing private personal information without consent), and copyright infringement. CSAM will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) immediately.

NeverDangerous misinformation

Content that could cause direct physical harm — false medical information presented as fact, fabricated emergency alerts, or deliberate disinformation designed to endanger public safety. Opinion, satire, and contested claims are not covered by this rule.

AlwaysEcho requires context

When you echo (quote-share) someone's post, you must add your own words. Empty amplification is not permitted. Your echo must contain at least 2 letters of original content.

Outside of these rules, Chrrp does not moderate based on viewpoint, topic, or political content. Strong opinions, criticism of public figures, and controversial subjects are part of what a conversation platform is for.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. This includes content or behavior that doesn't fit neatly into the categories above but that we reasonably determine is harmful to users, the community, or the platform. We would rather err on the side of protecting people.

Your content

You own your content. Posts, replies, and echoes you create belong to you. Chrrp does not claim ownership of anything you post.

By posting on Chrrp, you grant Chrrp LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform and in previews, embeds, and promotional materials that show the platform to prospective users. This license ends when you delete your content or your account.

You represent that you have the right to post any content you share — that it doesn't infringe copyright, defame anyone, or violate anyone else's rights.

You can delete your posts at any time. Deleted posts are removed from the platform immediately. Echoes of deleted posts are tombstoned as [original post deleted].

Enforcement

When content or behavior violates these terms, Chrrp may take the following actions, roughly in order of severity:

Remove content — the specific post, reply, or echo is deleted.
Temporary cooldown — the account cannot post for 24 hours (first offense) or 7 days (repeat offense).
Permanent ban — the account is suspended permanently. The associated email and IP address are blocked from creating new accounts for 90 days.

All moderation actions are logged and reviewable by a second moderator. You can appeal any action by emailing hello@gochrrp.com within 30 days. Appeals are reviewed by a moderator who was not involved in the original decision. We aim to respond within 7 days.

We reserve the right to remove any content or suspend any account at our discretion, including for behavior that doesn't fit neatly into the categories above but that we reasonably determine is harmful to the community.

Intellectual property

The Chrrp name, logo, and platform design are owned by Chrrp LLC. You may not use them without written permission, except to share links to the platform.

If you believe content on Chrrp infringes your copyright, send a DMCA takedown notice to hello@gochrrp.com with: your contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing content, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury. We will respond promptly.

Accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright will be terminated.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Chrrp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or free of harmful content posted by other users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chrrp LLC's total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the platform is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to Chrrp in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Chrrp LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@gochrrp.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), except that either party may bring claims in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction. You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply regardless of this clause.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and post a notice on the platform with reasonable advance notice before they take effect. For significant changes, we may require you to affirmatively accept the new terms to continue using the platform.

Continued use of Chrrp after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Miscellaneous

Sanctions compliance. You may not use Chrrp if you are located in a country subject to a US government embargo, or if you are on any US government prohibited or restricted persons list, including those maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Chrrp LLC regarding the platform.
Severability. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Language. These terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience only — the English version controls.
